Legendary 'Sheikh Sniper' Fell on Iraq Battlefield in 2017: The Story of an Anti-ISIS Hero

Abu Tahsin al-Salhi, a veteran fighter known as 'Sheikh Sniper', was killed in the fight to take the city of Hawija from ISIS. His funeral took place in Basra following news of his death on September 29. He was a fighter respected by his peers as a sniper with a long history of struggle dating back to 1973, and he was inseparable from his rifle.

The leader of the ISIS terrorist organization had asked for 250,000 dollars for his head, and Abu Tahsin was one of the deadliest and most feared snipers among enemy lines. This man has killed more than 384 ISIS members, in Iraq he is known as "Hawkeye" or "Silver Shooter". Abu joined the people's mobilization force in 2015, with the aim of eliminating all "jihadists" in the country. He is 62 years old, and he is still fighting for his country, obviously I am not a fan of war, but it is amazing what a person can achieve when they have a mission and a goal in mind. I think a movie based on this man's life would be spectacular, of course as long as it's made well then there will be action, drama and motive behind everything to fight for.
