Revolutionizing Warehousing: GXO Unveils Human-Centric Robots in SPANX Warehouse Trial

Humanoid robots are becoming increasingly important in our lives. They are taking over many tasks that were once only performed by humans, from helping out at home to working in the workplace. GXO Logistics, one of the largest logistics companies, introduced humanoid robots in its warehouse operations at the SPANX facility in Flowery Branch, Georgia. They used Digit from Agility Robotics to test the robot in logistics tasks.

Not only GXO, Amazon also joined the trend by testing Digit in their warehouse in October. They want to further automate their warehouses.

However, while these advancements promise efficiency, there are also concerns. Some studies estimate that by 2030, such automation efforts could eliminate 73 million jobs in the United States. Nonetheless, the use of humanoid robots continues to grow, changing the way we view work and daily life.
